Amazon Wind Farm Comes Online for Data Centers

Even with Republican legislators trying to halt the project, a renewable energy source from a wind farm in North Caroline is now online. The wind farm will power Amazon data centers in Virginia.

The $400 million wind farm was challenged by ten legislators trying to keep it from going up. They claim it will interfere with a Navy radar found in the area, but Avangrid Renewables and the military actually worked together on the project to keep it from interfering.

Even though the Navy believes the wind farm won’t cause issues, lawmakers still wanted the project halted. They urged the pro-fossil fuel administration to halt the project.
