The United States IT sector is growing with a net gain of 10,700 jobs in January. This is up 8% from adding 9,900 jobs in December, according to the Economic Situation Report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
It was uneven growth with 12,500 computer system design jobs added and 2,800 computer electronic manufacturing jobs lost. These numbers were both higher from December.
Another 1,200 jobs were added for hosting employment and data processing, while 200 were lost in the technical consulting and management sector.
