Web Hosting Hub – an Alternative for Shared Hosting

Shared hosting is a tough choice these days. There are so many companies who offer it, and you really never know what you’re going to get until you get into it. A recent decision for me to try out a Godaddy shared hosting account for a website proved an incredible waste of time and money. The server went down and got hacked on a regular basis, and Godaddy always pointed their finger at our WordPress sites as being the problem! (Funny how they function pretty well everywhere else we host them!)

Now there may be another web hosting alternative to try – WebHostingHub.com. I’m not sure how long they’ve been around; I just found out about them today actually, but they have some pretty good prices and promise top-notch support. For one, check out the $4.95 / price tag! Best of all 90 Day FULL Money Back Guarantee! I have not seen that anywhere before. Make sure to check out the comparison between the different hosting companies on their site as well, so you can see how they stack up to popular hosts like Bluehost and Justhost.

Another thing I like about Web Hosting Hub – cPanel hosting. cPanel is by far the best way to manage a linux server, and it’s standardized so it works well on all the machines you put it on and just about any host. I can’t stand “custom” control panels that hosting providers create themselves, because they rarely work, and if they do, they usually have very little functionality.

Another cool thing about Web Hosting Hub – the free domain name. I don’t know how they are making any money on these hosting plans. Quite honestly, I pay more to monitor my servers and make sure they are up around the clock. The free domain name is worth $12 / yr., and when you’re paying under $5 / mo. for hosting, that’s awesome. With a 90 day money back guarantee, I’d say it’s worth a try if you’re thinking about switching hosts or getting a new one.
